Why Lionsgate needs me as their PR-advisor

Hey dear Lionsgate people, it’s me, FyreSparks! Since the Hunger Games is now out on imdbPro (which means it slowly gets real) and there are some difficult decisions coming up for you guys, I decided to give you a few tips. You know, cause I’m such a pro when it comes to books and movies and books turned into movies. Alright, here we go!

a

The Lionsgate list to ultimate fan-happiness

Get this man! Now!

1. Do not hire Cathy Hardwicke as director. Maybe ask Peter Jackson instead cause he totally knows how to pull of stuff like that. Hello? 11 Oscars for Lord of the Rings – Return of the King alone. Do I have to say anything else?

2. Do not hire the New Moon wig department. Honestly, have you seen what they did to Jackson Rathbone aka Jasper?

3. Do hire Howard Shore or Hans Zimmer to compose the score. Cause they rule! Plus they are my all time favorites when it comes to composers for movie scores. So just call them. Please.

Do NOT get this guy though!

4. Do not hire anyone of the Twilight cast just to profit from their popularity. Cause that’s just not right. Bella can’t be Katniss and Jacob can’t be Gale and most of all, Mike Newton CANNOT be Peeta. Ever. Just saying.

5. Do not split the last book into two movies, however long it might be. I hate when there are breaks in the movies. Cause it ruins the mood. Splitting a book in two is like a 6 months long break. Not cool. I never understood why someone would do this except to gain more money in the box office. There’s a reason why Casablanca is considered a classic and cinema heirloom even though it’s like 5 hours long. Consider that!

Do NOT get this woman either! Her face is FROZEN...

6. Do not hire someone whose face is so damaged by botox that she can no longer act properly. Have you seen Nicole Kidman in The Golden Compass? I still think it’s partly her fault I didn’t like the movie even though I loved the book… Oh woman, what have you done to your once pretty face?

7. Do hire someone who is super hot aka sexiest man alive 2015 and 2016 for the roles of Peeta and Gale. Cause hot actors are bound to lure girls and women into the theaters. Plus if there are always two Bond Girls I feel like we deserve two sexy guys to look at as well!

8. Don’t forget to release an absolutely awesome first trailer at least six months before the movie premieres.

9. Don’t forget to hold back some of the best, most anticipated scenes to surprise us on the day when we will actually sit in the movie theaters to watch “The Hunger Games” for the first time.
(Concerning numbers 8 and 9 you could just say don’t do it like Summit! First they throw out like every important scene New Moon has to offer and then they don’t give us the slightest glimpse of Eclipse. Big fail!)

10. Make this movie epic and awesome and not one of that fits into the “good books – bad movies” category. Cause we need it to be good and to not suck! Kthxbye.

Any other tips I should have given Lionsgate? Do you love Howard Shore and Hans Zimmer as much as I do? Leave a comment or send me an e-mail!

If you need more tips dear Lionsgate, just give me a call!

Why do I still post at all?

Hey dear readers, actually I wanted to say how sorry I am about not having posted anything new in one month straight. But then I saw that yesterday this blog had the highest number of visitors ever. So maybe I should NOT post anything new… 😉 Just kidding! I promise to blog more often in the future. Especially as the release of Mockingjay draws nearer and when we finally get real news about the Hunger Games movie! So keep checking back!

Happy Easter from The District13 Post

Actually I wanted to do something really special here for Easter. I searched Google Images for hours and hours but just couldn’t come up with something good. I wanted to have a super awesome picture of Katniss and stuff to photoshop Easter eggs into it and all that but none of the images seemed to be good enough. Wanna know what I DID find? Alright, this is not necessarily Hunger Games related but if you squeeze your eyes this guy looks KINDA like Peeta… 😉

Oh and how sexy he winks at you… What? Surprised? Shocked? Need something to cure your innocent eyes? Alright then. Winnie the Pooh should be innocent enough, right? 😉

a

Happy Easter everyone! 😉

Hunger Games FanArt Gallery Vol.2

Hey, I decided it’s time for a little fan art once again! Ready? Go!

I really like the drawing on the left! I know in the book Katniss has those elven-like oversize sleeves but I’m not picky. I think the drawing is pretty good. Period. But the whole thing is titled “from bride to mockingjay”, so if that one on the right is indeed Katniss in her mockingjay dress, how come it’s all green, blue and yellow then? Shouldn’t it be black and white? And wow, her hair has transformed as well… All in all thumbs up for the wedding dress pic, for the one on the right I’m not quite sure though. Or maybe you should just change the title and pretend it’s Katniss wearing a random creation of Cinna… 😉

So here another mockingjay dress pic. Now it really is a “from bride to mockingjay” post! 😉

What do you think about these pics? Any other favorites you’d like me to post? Or did you maybe make fan art of your own? Wanna send it over? Leave a comment or e-mail me!

So sad I’m so not good at drawing…

Hoping against all odds that this is not true…

I preordered the third Hunger Games book back in January when we didn’t even know the title yet. I’m so excited to finally hold the Mockingjay in my hands and start reading it’s almost ridiculous. About five minutes ago though, the following happened. I checked my inbox and had a mail from Amazon saying this:

Unfortunately the release date for the Hunger Games book 3 – the Mockingjay changed. The new delivery date is now October 4th.

Honestly? WTF??? Come on Amazon, Scholastic, Suzanne Collins and whoever else it is that has ANYTHING to do with this book. You can’t do that to me! I want my copy of the Mockingjay on August 24th just as you had promised! Or right now if you don’t mind! SO HURRY UP! Please…

a

Desperately hoping someone hacked Amazon and sent these mails out as a joke

FyreSparks returns from being MIA… and brings Peeta with her

First of all I wanna apologize for being MIA, neglecting this blog and not writing a new post in two weeks straight! Sorry! But today I’m finally returning and I brought some quite good stuff with me if I do say so myself! First of all enjoy one of the Valentine conversation hearts I made back in February. Guess who it is I made that one for… 😉

And then, remember I talked about how I found someone who really kinda looks like my Peeta? So, let me introduce you to him! Here he is, his name is Sterling Knight:

Yes, I know that he played in a couple of Disney Channel series. No, I don’t care and I never watched one single episode. I wouldn’t mind if he looked a little older but hey, he still has some time left before they start shooting the Hunger Games movie so… And because I know that’s what you think about now: No, it is not a good idea to Google Image search him. Just don’t! Trust me! Cause you’ll only find childish pics where he doesn’t look like Peeta. I had to look for ages to find those two gems above. But hey, I’m pretty sure he will do a sexy photoshoot anytime soon! 😉

So what about you, have you found your Peeta yet? Any suggestions? Tell ma about it! Just leave a comment or e-mail me!

So glad I’m finally back to posting again

Who should play Gale Hawthorne?

Definitely not my Gale Hawthorne... even though he most definitely has the abs!

Only a short post today, but I promise one a bit longer over the next few days! Just another thing I noticed while watching all those “my favorite Hunger Games cast” videos. While simply everyone seems to wish for Alex Pettyfer as Peeta, there are about one hundred different versions of “my perfect Gale”. Just one thing when it comes to the question who should play Gale Hawthorne: It’s NOT Taylor Lautner! Why keep people suggesting him all the time? Don’t get me wrong! I think he’s hot, oh yes! And I may or may not have seen New Moon several times just for him and the wolfpack. But Jacob from New Moon just can’t be Gale from the Hunger Games as well. Not that I would mind if Gale had Taylor’s abs though… 😉

I looked around and googled different things but so far unfortunately have not found one single guy who looks at least a little bit like Gale does in my imagination… but I’ll let you know as soon as I come across someone, promise!

So what about you? Do you think it strange how many people obviously want Taylor Lautner as Gale? Any own suggestions? Have you already found your perfect Gale? Let me know! Leave a comment or send me over some pics if you want to!

Let the search for Gale begin!

Sometimes I need to apologize

Dear readers, I’m sorry! I haven’t blogged in over a week and I feel really bad about it! This may or may not have something to do with the fact that I just have read Catching Fire again. So I’ll make up for it, promise! I took notes while reading, made a couple more Hunger Games themed Valentine’s hearts and found pics of someone who almost looks like the Peeta in my head. And I’m going to share all of this with you soon. So be prepared for an awful lot of awesomeness over the next few days!

Belated Breaking News from the Hunger Games world

Yep, I totally missed all the fuss and now I’m one day late but I’ll blog about it nevertheless! The cover and title for the third book are out and it’s called “Mockingjay”. And while I gotta say I love the color, I don’t really like the title. It just doesn’t fit in with the other two. And it looks weird on the cover with only one word in one line right at the top… See for yourself!

So what do you think? Love it? Hate it? What about the color? And the title? And the fact that Suzanne Collins i now written in one line instead of two? Come on and let’s discuss every tiny little detail no matter how ridiculous it is. Simply because this seems to get us so much closer to actually be able to hold the book in our own hands. And because I’m really excited right now! So leave a comment or e-mail me!

a

Let the countdown begin!
